1GB = 1.000.000.000 bytes. De daadwerkelijke capaciteit na het formatteren kan minder zijn aangezien de interne firmware een gedeelte van het geheugen gebruikt.

De DVD±R’s met dubbele laag hebben ongeveer de dubbele capaciteit van DVD±R’s met één laag. (zie pagina 50)

BEELDEN DIE TEGEN OPNEMEN BEVEILIGD ZIJN

Met deze HDD & DVD- RECORDER kunt u geen beelden met kopieerbeveiliging opnemen.

Als de HDD &DVD-RECORDER een kopieerbeveiligingssignaal ontvangt tijdens de opname, wordt de opname gestopt en verschijnt het volgende bericht op het scherm.

Kopieerbeveiligingssignalen

Tv-uitzendingen met kopieerbeveiligingssignalen kunnen een van de volgende drie typen signalen bevatten: vrij kopiëren, éénmaal kopiëren en nooit kopiëren. Als u een programma van het type vrij kopiëren wilt opnemen, gebruikt u een DVD-RW met CPRM in VR-modus, DVD-RAM, HDD.

Wanneer een programma van het type Eenmaal kopiëren is opgenomen, kunnen geen opnamen meer worden uitgevoerd.

❖Inhoudbeveiliging voor opneembare media (CPRM)

CPRM is een mechanisme dat een opname aan de media koppelt waarop deze is opgenomen. Het wordt ondersteund door sommige HDD & DVD-recorders, maar door weinig DVD-spelers. Elke lege opneembare DVD heeft een uniek 64-bits medium-id geëtst in de BCA. Wanneer de beveiligde inhoud op de schijf is opgenomen, kan deze worden gecodeerd met een 56 bits C2 (cryptomeria) sleutel afgeleid van de medium-id. Tijdens het afspelen wordt de id gelezen vanaf de BCA en gebruikt om een sleutel te genereren om de inhoud van de schijf te ontcijferen.

Als de inhoud van de schijf naar andere media wordt gekopieerd, ontbreekt de id of is deze verkeerd en kunnen de gegevens niet worden ontcijferd.
