There is an interval between two bursts of the ﬂash. Do not move until the ﬂash ﬁres a second time.

Flash

In order to take a realistic photo of a subject, the amount of light should be constant. When the light source varies, you can use an optional ﬂash and supply a constant amount of light. Select appropriate settings according to a light source and a subject.

To set ﬂash		In Shooting mode, press [m] ► 2 ► Flash ►
options,		an option.

Option Description

Off: Do not use the ﬂash.

Smart Flash: The camera automatically adjusts the brightness of the ﬂash according to the amount of light in the surrounding environment.

Auto: The ﬂash automatically ﬁres in dark places.

Auto + Red: The ﬂash automatically ﬁres and prevents red-eyes.

Fill in: The ﬂash ﬁres whenever you take a photo.

Fill-in Red: The ﬂash ﬁres whenever you take a photo and prevents red-eyes.
