month number is replaced by the letters A (Oct.), B

 

 

(Nov.) and C (Dec.).

 

 

For example, for a photo taken on Feb. 03, the file name

 

 

would be 203xxxx.jpg. For a photo taken on Oct. 05,

 

 

the file name would be A05xxxx.jpg.

Series*: New file numbers continue the existing number sequence, even if you have installed a new memory card, formatted the card, or deleted all photos.
