Kameraet gemmer enten billeder i JPEG- eller RAW-formatet.

Billeder, der bliver taget med et kamera, bliver ofte konverteret til JPEG- format og gemt i hukommelsen i henhold til kameraets indstillinger på det tidspunkt, billedet bliver taget. RAW-filer bliver ikke konverteret til JPEG- format og gemmes i hukommelsen uden nogen ændringer.

RAW-filer har filformatet "SRW". Hvis du vil justere og kalibrere eksponering, hvidbalance, tone, kontrast og farve i RAW-filerne eller konvertere dem til JPEG- eller TIFF-format, skal du bruge programmet Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, der findes på den medfølgende DVD-ROM.

Da RAW-filer er meget store, skal du sørge for, der er nok plads på hukommelseskortet til at gemme dem i dette format.
