3 Entering information

You have several options for entering new information:

•Use the input panel to enter text, either by using the onscreen keyboard or another input method.

•Write directly on the screen.

•Draw pictures on the screen.

•Use the keypad on the phone.

•Speak into your phone’s microphone to record a message.

•Use Microsoft ActiveSync to synchronise or copy information from a computer to your phone. For more information on ActiveSync, see Microsoft ActiveSync Help on a computer.

Entering text using the input panel

When you place the cursor in a text input field, a default input panel automatically appears.

Use the input panel to enter information in any programme on your phone. You can either type using the onscreen Keyboard or write using Block Recognizer, Letter Recognizer, or Transcriber. You can also enter information using the keypad on your phone.
