3. Useful Setting Menus
Network setupSome menus may not appear in the display depending on options or
models. If so, it is not applicable to your machine (see "Menu overview" on
page 32).
You can also use this feature from the SyncThru™ Web Service. Open the
Web browser from your networked computer and type the IP address of
your machine. When SyncThru™ Web Service opens, click Settings >
Network Settings (see "Using SyncThru™ Web Service" on page 316).
• Press (Menu)> Network on the control panel,
• For the model with a touch screen, press (Setup) > Machine Setup >
Next > Network Setup on the touch screen.
Item Description
TCP/IP(IPv4)
Selects the appropriate protocol and configure
parameters to use the network environment (see "Setting
IP address" on page 175).
There are lots of parameters to be set. If you are
not sure, leave as is, or consult the network
administrator.
TCP/IP(IPv6) Selects this option to use the network environment
through IPv6 (see "IPv6 configuration" on page 187).
Ethernet
Configure the network transmission speed or port.
Turn the power off and on after you change this
option.
802.1x
Select the user authentication for network
communication. For detailed information consult the
network administrator.
Wi-Fi Selects this option to use the wireless network.
Clear Settings
Reverts the network settings to the default values.
Turn the power off and on after you change this
option.

Displays information on your machine’s network
connection and configuration.
