Using Speed Dialing

With this feature, you can dial Speed Dial entries using one key press for locations 2-9. (See page 66 for storing a Speed Dial number.)

To use speed dial for voice calls:

From standby mode, press and hold the appropriate key for approximately two seconds.

– or –

From standby mode, press the appropriate key and

press or .

The display confirms that the number has been dialed when it shows “Connecting...”.

To use speed dial for 10-4 calls:

From standby mode, press the appropriate key then press . (See “Setting Speed Dialing for 10-4 Entries” on page 102.)

The display confirms that the number has been dialed when it shows “10-4 calling...”.

Using Abbreviated Dialing

Abbreviated Dialing allows you to dial a number by entering 3-6 digits of any number in your Contacts Directory. (See “Setting Abbreviated Dialing” on page 48.)

1.Dial the last 3-6 digits of a contact’s phone number.

2.Press or . If there is more than one matched number in your Contacts list, Abbrev. Dial list appears.

3.Select the name you want to call, and then press or to place a call.

Tip: You can also place a call by pressing Options (right softkey) and select Abbrev. Dial after step 1 above.

Note: When Ph. Book Match is set to Enable and your desired number is saved in Contacts (regardless of whether Prepend is enabled or disabled), you can display the number by entering its last three to six digits. (See page 48 for Ph. Book Match and Prepend.)
