You should always check your phone’s display because it will let you know when you are outside the Sprint PCS Nationwide Network and whether your phone is operating in analog cellular or digital roaming mode.

Regardless of whether you are using your phone on or off the Sprint PCS Nationwide Network, you should always dial numbers using 11 digits (1 + area code + number) when you make calls. (This does not necessarily mean you’ll be charged a long-distance rate.)
