Connecting to a LAN

Use an Ethernet cable to connect the ETHERNET connector of the camera to the LAN’s Ethernet switching hub.

☞Use a straight-typeEthernet cable.

Connecting to the Internet

Use an Ethernet cable to connect the ETHERNET connector of the camera to a device such as a router or ADSL modem that is connected to the Internet.

☞If connecting to a router, use a straight-typeEthernet cable. If connecting to an ADSL modem or to some other type of device, refer to the documentation provided with the device for details on what type of connection method should be used.
