The remote control is operated by batteries and the device by a rechargeable battery pack. For the handling of batteries/rechargeable battery packs please observe the following:

•Only charge batteries that are specifically mar- ked "rechargeable".
•Charge the supplied battery power pack exclusi- vely with the portable DVD player and the supp- lied power supply unit. Do not use any other charging device or power supply unit.
•Never open, solder or weld batteries/rechargk- able battery packs.
The risk of explosions and injuries exist!
•Regularily check the batteries/rechargeable battery pack. Depleted batteries/rechargeable battery packs can damage the device
•If you do not intend to use the device for a long time then remove the batteries/rechargeable battery pack.
•Put on protective gloves when handling depleted batteries/rechargeable battery packs.
•Clean the battery compartment and the battery contacts with a dry cloth.
