
Additional Operation
Setting the Menu OptionsThe player has 8 menu options as follows:
1Key Protect
You can make the controls on the player ineffective except for the EJECT, STOP, ENTER and CLEAR buttons.
2Remote Protect
You can make the supplied remote commander ineffective.
3Auto Cue threshold level
You can change the cue point level of the Auto Cue function (see page 14).
4Cueing Select
You can select what you want to locate (track or index) by using the =/+buttons.

The following menu choices are available for each option. The initial settings are indicated with underline:

*If you press a button on the player after setting the option to LOCAL OFF, “PROTECTED” appears in the display.

1Press ENTER in stop mode.
2Turn the SHUTTLE ring or press =/+until the display shows the menu option you want to set.
The menu option number appears in the music calendar.
3Turn the JOG dial or press 0/)until the desired setting flashes in the display.
4Press ENTER to select the setting.
The selected setting lights up in the display.
5Press ENTER again to return to the original display.
To initialize all the settings
Press CLEAR while setting menus.
