Caution: This Unit is capable of holding a still video image or on-screen display image on your television screen indefinitely. If you leave the still video image or on- screen display image displayed on your TV for an extended period of time, you risk permanent damage to your television screen. Plasma display panel televisions and projection televisions are susceptible to this.

Troubleshooting

If you experience any of the following difficulties while using the Unit, use this troubleshooting guide to help you to remedy the problem. Should any problem persist, consult your nearest installer.

Power

The power is not turned on.

,Check that the AC power cord is connected securely.

Picture

There is no picture.

,The video connecting cords are not connected securely.

,The video connecting cords are damaged.

,The Unit is not connected to the correct TV input jack (page 10).

,The video input on the TV is not set so that you can view pictures from the Unit.

,Check the connection to your TV (page 10) and switch the input selector on your TV so that the signal from the Unit appears on the TV screen.

Picture noise appears.

,The disc is dirty or flawed.

,If the picture output from your Unit goes through your VCR to get to your TV, the copy-protection signal applied to some DVD programs could affect picture quality. If you still experience problems even when you connect your Unit directly to your TV, try connecting your Unit to your TV's S VIDEO input (page 10).

Even though you set the aspect ratio in “TV Type” of “General Setup,” the picture does not fill the screen.

,The aspect ratio on the disc is fixed.

The picture is not displayed correctly. The Unit and the TV are not synchronized.

,Check the “TV Type” setting in “General Setup” (page 28).

(TV in North America uses the NTSC color system).
