Notes on discs
•To keep the disc clean, do not touch the surface.
Handle the disc by its edge.
•Keep your di scs in their cases or disc
magazi nes when not in use.
Do not subject the discs to heat/high
temperature. A v oid leaving them in parked cars
or on das hboards/rear trays.
•Do not attach labels, or use discs with sticky
ink/residu e. Such di scs may stop spin ning
when used, causing a malfunction, or may ruin
the disc.
•Disc s w i th non-st a ndard shapes (e.g., heart,
squa re, star) ca nnot be play ed on this un it.
Attempting to do so may damage the unit. Do
not use s uch discs.
•You cannot play 8cm CDs.
•Before playing, clean the discs with a
comm er ci ally available cleanin g cl ot h. Wipe
each d isc from the centre out. Do not use
solve nts such as benzin e, thinner , commercial ly
available cleaners, or antistatic spray intended
for a nalog discs.
Notes on CD-R/CD-RW discs
•Yo u can play CD-Rs (recorda ble CDs)
designed for audio use on this unit.
Look for this mark to distinguish CD-Rs for
audi o use.
This mark denotes that a disc is not for audio
use.
•Some CD-R s (depen di ng on the equi pment
use d for its record ing or the condit i o n of the
disc) may not play on this unit.
•You cannot play a CD-R that is not finalized*.
*A process necessary for a recorded CD-R disc to
be played on the audio CD player.
•You cannot pl ay CD-RWs (rewritable CD s) on
this unit.
