Fuse repla cem ent
When re placing the fuse, be sur e t o us e one
matching the amperag e rating stated on the
original fuse. If the fuse blows, check the power
connection and replace the fuse. If the fuse blows
again after replacement, there may be an internal
malfunction. In su ch a case, consu lt yo ur nearest
Sony deale r.
Warning
Never use a fuse with an amperage rating
exceeding the one supplied with the unit as this
could da mage the unit.
Cleaning the connectors
The unit may not function properly if the
connectors between the unit and the front panel
are not cle an. In order to prevent this, deta ch the
fro nt panel (p age 7) and cl ean the co nnecto rs
wit h a cotton swab dip ped in alcohol. D o not
apply t oo m u ch force. O therwise , t he connecto rs
may be damaged.
Notes
For safety, turn off the ignitio n before cleaning the
connectors, and remove the key from the ignition
switch.
Nev er touch the connectors directly with your fingers
or with any metal device.

Removing the unit

1Remove the front cover
1Det ac h the front p anel (page 7 ).
2Press the clip ins ide the front cover
with a thin screwdriver.
3Rep eat st ep 2 for the other side.
2Remove the unit
1Use a thin screwdriver to push in
the clip on the left side of the unit,
then pull out the left side of the unit
until the catch clears the mounting.
2Rep eat st ep 1 for th e right side.
3Slide the unit out of its mounting.
