Twilight portrait mode

Suitable for shooting portraits in dark places. Allows you to shoot sharp images of people in dark places without losing the dark atmosphere of the surroundings. The shutter speed becomes slower, so we recommend that you use a tripod to prevent shaking.

The flash strobes regardless of the surrounding brightness.

aSet the mode dial to SCN.

bPress MENU.

The menu appears.

cSelect [SCN] with b, then select the desired mode with v/V.

To cancel Scene Selection

Set the mode dial to a different mode.

If you set (Fireworks mode),

(Twilight portrait mode) or (Twilight mode) and then record in Exposure Bracket

(DSC-P10/P12 only), Burst 3 (DSC-P10/P12) or Burst 2 (DSC-P8) mode, the shutter speed becomes faster, so the image may not be recorded just as you intended.

The setting is maintained even when the power is turned off.

NR slow shutter

The NR slow shutter mode removes noise from recorded images, providing clear images. When the shutter speed is slow, the camera automatically enters the NR slow shutter function and “NR” is indicated next to the shutter speed indicator.
