Scene Recognition
Advanced mode
The camera automatically detects shooting conditions, and then takes the shot. When a motion is detected, the ISO sensitivity is increased according to the movement to reduce subject blur (Motion Detection).
The camera recognizes the following types of scenes. When the camera determines the optimal scene, it displays the corresponding icon and guide.
(Twilight), (Twilight Portrait), (Backlight), (Backlight Portrait), (Landscape), (Macro), (Portrait)

Notes
Scene Recognition function does not operate when you shoot images using digital zoom. The available flash settings are [Auto] and [Off].
These scenes may not be recognized depending on the situation.
You may not be able to set some MENU items depending on the selected REC mode. For details, see “MENU items not available in some REC modes.” [Details]
Advanced mode
In [Advanced] mode, the camera shoots two images consecutively with the settings differing as
follows when it recognizes (Twilight), (Twilight Portrait), (Backlight) or (Backlight Portrait) scenes, which tends to blur. You can select the desired image from the two images shot.
