Controlling Your TV or AV Amplifier (Receiver) with the Supplied Remote

By adjusting the remote signal, you can control your TV with the supplied remote. If you connect the player with an AV amplifier (receiver), you can control the volume with the supplied remote.

Check the model name of your remote

The supplied remote commander is different depending on the player model. Check the model name of your remote (RMT-D140E or RMT-D140A) and follow the instructions that correspond to your remote’s model name. Note that the buttons you can use for operating your TV will differ according to the model of your remote.

Depending on the units being connected, you may not be able to control your TV or AV amplifier (receiver) using some of the buttons below.

If you enter a new code number, the code number previously entered will be erased.

When you replace the batteries of the remote, the code number you have set may be reset to the default setting. Set the appropriate code number again.

1 Slide the TV/DVD switch to TV.

2 While holding down [/1, press down on the scroll key.

“TV P-1” appears in the LCD screen.

3 Release [/1.

4 Toggle the scroll key up or down to select your TV’s manufacturer’s code (see the table below).

5 Press down on the scroll key.

The manufacturer’s code flashes and the remote is set.

If more than one code number is listed, try entering them one at a time until you find the one that works with your TV.
