To use sound effect settings

1Click . A sound effects menu appears.

2Select the desired sound effect from the menu.

You may hear distortion during playback of some songs when sound effects have been added. If this occurs, select Sound Effect Off to turn off the sound effect.

EffectDescription

Vocal Canceller Reduce or cancel the vocals in a song. You can also change the pitch of a song.

Reverb

Add reverberation to the sound, emulating different sound

 

fields.

Make fine adjustments to each sound effect. See the

 

SonicStage Premium Help file for more information on

 

adjusting sound effects.

3Click Close. The next time you play a song, the selected sound effect is applied to the song.

You cannot apply sound effects to songs on a MiniDisc, audio from an FM radio station, or music from an external output.

Using the FM Tuner

Your VAIO® MX computer is equipped with a built-in FM tuner, enabling you to listen to and record from FM radio stations. Your FM antenna wire or FM coaxial antenna (supplied) must be connected to your computer before you can listen to FM radio stations.

To listen to FM radio stations

The first time that you use your FM tuner, you are prompted to start automatic frequency scanning.
