Remote

Buttons on the remote have the same function as the buttons on the recorder if they have the same or similar names.

Slide the cover.

ATV/DVD switch

Switches the remote control to TV or DVD.

BZ (open/close) button (23)

Opens or closes the disc tray. Note that it may take a few seconds for the disc tray to open after you have recorded or edited a disc.

CNumber buttons (23, 29)

Select a number such as a programme number or a title number.

The number 5 button has a tactile dot.*

DCLEAR/-/-- (ten digit) button (29)

CLEAR: Cancels an entered number when used with this recorder.

-/-- (ten digit): Used to enter a digit greater than nine when used with your TV (see “Controlling Your TV or AV Amplifier (Receiver)” in the separate booklet, “Hookups and Settings”).

E (subtitle) button (47)

Changes the subtitles while playing a disc.

F (audio) button (44)

Changes the sound while playing a disc.

The button has a tactile dot.*

G[TIMER] button (25, 29)

Displays the Timer programming menu on the TV screen.

HTOP MENU button (38)

Displays the disc’s menu on the TV screen.

IDISPLAY button (24, 43)

Displays disc information or playing/recording status on the TV screen.

JTIME/TEXT button (43)

Displays the time information of the disc.

KSYSTEM MENU button (15)

Displays the System Menu on the TV screen.

LTITLE LIST button (15, 40, 51)

Displays the Title List menu on the TV screen.

MCURSOR MODE button (16)

Switches the cursor/page mode in the Title List, etc.

NRETURN button (16)

Returns to the previously selected display, etc.

O. (previous) button (39)

Goes back to the previous title/chapter/track.

Pm/ M (search) Jog Stick (39)

Searches fast-forward or reverses a scene (while playing a disc), or plays a disc in slow motion or frame by frame (in the pause mode).

QH (play) button (37)

Plays a disc.

RX (pause) button (39)

Pauses playing a disc.
