Entering Text

Selecting a Character Input Mode

Your phone provides convenient ways to enter words,letters,
punctuation,and numbers whenever you are prompted to enter
text (for example,when adding a Contacts entry or when
sending text messages).
1. When you display a screen where you can enter text,
press Mode(right softkey).
2. Select a character input mode and press .
Note:The menus displayed vary according to the entry field. If you see
triangles on the right of the menu, you can press the right and left
navigation keys to switch between related menus.
Alphabetto enter characters by using the keypad (see
page 29).
T9 Wordto enter characters using T9 Text Input (see
page 28).
SYMBOLto enter symbols.
SMILEYSto enter smiley pictures.
Emoticonsto enter an emotion icon.
Web Shortcutsto enter web shortcuts (for example,
www.,http://,or, .com).
Preset Messagesto enter preset messages (see page 43).
Recent Messagesto enter messages used recently (if
applicable).
Paste Listto paste copied or cut text (if applicable).
Fr. Schedule List to use words you added in your Calendar
as Schedule(see page 67).
From To Do List to use words you added in your Calendar as
To Do (see pa ge 69).
NUMBERto enter numbers.
Signatureto enter your signature (see page 44).
Erase Allto erase all text (if applicable).
Select Textto select stored text for copying or cutting.
Add Wordto store words that you use frequently.
Tip:Before entering text, press the key to change letter capitalisation
: Abc> ABC > abc (Alphabet Mode)
: T9w> T9W > t9w (T9 Text Input Mode).
