Measurement is executedwith the circuit as shown in Fig. 8-8.An electricheateroran incandescent lamp with a power factorof 1.0 is suitable as a load for the generator. When the AC output measured at the rated load and rated speed is confirmed to be within the voltage range specified in the table below, the AC output is normal.

Measurement of DC output is executed with the switchturned ON while the current isregulated at 8.3A by adjustingtheloadtothegenerator. If thevoltage is withinthe range from 6V to 14V,thevoltage output is normal.

Note : If a battery is connected as a loadtothegenerator,the DC outputvoltagewillincreaseby approximately I to 2V. Therefore, carefully observe the electrolyte level and do not overcharge the battery.
