Caution Electrostatic discharge can damage the integrated circuits on the adapter. Leave the adapter in its antistatic envelope until you are ready to install it in the system.

Selecting a CompactPCI Slot in the System

The front-access version of the adapter is exclusively designed to be installed in a front-access system with 6U CompactPCI slots. Before installing the adapter, select a CompactPCI slot in the server where you want to install the adapter.

Note Refer to your system’s service manual for the exact locations of the CompactPCI I/O slots in the system, and to determine the most appropriate slot to install the adapter.
