GOULASH
2 pounds beef stew meat, cut into bite-size pieces
1 large onion, sliced
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 cup catsup
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1 cup water
1/4 cup flour
Place meat in crock and cover with sliced onion. Combine garlic, catsup,
Worcestershire sauce, sugar, salt, paprika and mustard with water. Pour over meat.
Cover and cook on low for 9 to 10 hours. Turn control to high. Dissolve flour in small
amount of cold water and add to meat mixture. Cook on high another 10 to 15 minutes
or until slightly thickened. SERVES: 4 – 6
MARCO’SMEXICAN RIBS3-1/2 pounds beef short ribs
10-1/2 oz. beef consommé
1-1/4 oz. package taco seasoning mix
1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
In large fry pan, brown short ribs. Pour off excess fat and place in crock.
Mix beef consommé with dr y taco mix and add green pepper. Pour sauce over ribs.
Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. SERVES: 4 – 6
