Power Property PageUse the Power property page to set the Wireless Networker powe r consumption mode and
the radio transmission power. The Wireless Networker has two pow er consumption modes.
The Automatic Power Saving Mode is the default power mode setti ng.
Clear the Automatic Power Saving Mode checkbox and use the sliding scale in the Manual
Power Saving Mode field to select a performance index ( 1 to 5) suited to the intended
operation of the adapter. Each mode is described underneath the sliding scal e.

Use the Radio Transmission Power field to set the power level for data transmitted to either
an access point (Infrastructure mode) or other adapters in an Ad Hoc cell (Ad Hoc or
Enhanced Ad Hoc mode). Set the mode for each adapter usin g the Mode property page.
Adjusting the adapter transmit power level enables user s to expand or confine a
transmission area in respect to interference or other wi reless devices that could be
operating nearby. Reducing a coverage area in high traffic areas improves transmission
quality by reducing the number of missed beacons and noi se in that coverage area.
