Unpacking

Carefully unpack the amplifier and store the origin

al

packing material carefully. The carton and packing

 

are

speciallydesignedforthisunitandwillbeneeded

againif

youwishtomovetheequipmentatanytime.

 

 

Iftheunitgetsverycold(e.g.whenbeingtransp

orted),

condensationmayforminsideit.Pleasedonotswit

 

chit

on until it has had plenty of time to warm up to ro

 

om

temperature, so that any condensation evaporates completely.

Settingup

Before placing the unit on a sensitive surface plea

se

checkthecompatibilityofthelaquerandtheunit'

sfeeton

anonvisiblepoint.

 

 

Theunitshouldbeplacedonarigid,levelbase. W

The amplifier should be set up in a well ventilated

 

dry

site,outofdirectsunlightandawayfromradiator

The unit must not be located close to heatproducin

objectsordevices,oranythingwhichisheatsensi

highlyflammable.

 

 

Wheninstallingtheamplifieronashelforinacu

pboardit

isessentialtoprovideanadequateflowofcooling

 

air,to

ensurethattheheatproducedbytheunit isdissip

 

ated

effectively. Anyheatbuildupwillshortenthelif

eofthe

amplifierandcouldbeasourceofdanger.

 

 

Coution!

Theremustbeplentyofspacearoundtheamplifier onallsidessothatwasteheatcandissipatefreel y. Maintain a minimum distance of 20cm to walls, ceilings, shelves or other objects which could hinderthecirculationofcoolingair.

Do not place any object on top or below the

 

amplifier.

 

Ensure that the fan on the underside of the

 

amplifierisnotblockedorobstructed,andthatai

r

canenterthefanunhindered.

 

Set up the amplifier in such a position that childr

en

cannottouchit.

Mechanicaldecoupling

Thequalityandcharacteristicsofthebaseonwhic

le.

This amplifier is supplied with the new

damping

cones.Thisfeetfeatureinternaldampingqualities

which

effectivelydecoupletheunitfromthebasesurfac

e.

 

Thesefeaturesensurethatvibrationinthebasesu

 

rface

isabsorbed,andthedelicatevalvesareprotected

 

from

interferencecausedbymicrophonyeffects.

 

 

 

The amplifier should be set up in an open position

 

to

ensure that the vibration absorbers are able to wor

k

perfectly.Donotallowanypartofthecasetotou

chwalls

orothersurfaces.

 

 

 

Note:

If the base surface is uneven you can screw the

standardfeetinorouttosettheunitexactlylev

el.

All units must be adjusted so that they are exactly

horizontal in all directions. Check that all feet m

ake

solid contact with the base surface, i.e. that the

re is

absolutelynotendencyfortheunittowobble.
