Themainswitchisusedtoselectthemodeofopera tion (OFF,STBY,HEAT,HV)aswellasthelisteningsour ce. Theswitchcanberotatedmanuallyineitherdirect ion.If theremotecontrolhandsetisused,themotoriseds witch movesautomaticallytotheselectedposition.

Moving the main switch to any of these positions switches on the P10 completely, rendering it ready to
use; you can now listen to the selected source. At | the |

also present at the recorder outputs, and can be |

recordedonamachinecapableofthisfunction. |

The P10 can be turned on by moving the main switch from any setting (i.e. including the OFF or STBY

The microprocessor control system ensures that the | ||
valves are always heated gently to the optimum leve | l, | |
andthatthehighvoltageisnotswitchedoffprema |
| turely. |
Thesmooth,processorcontrolledwarmingupprocess | of |
the P10avoidsdamagetothevalvesandextendstheir usefullife. Ifthe P10isswitchedonfromcold,ittakes aboutoneminuteforthevalvestoheatupfully.
Duringtheinitialheatingphasethedelaydisplay |

screenflashes. Whenthecorrectoperatingtemperat | ure | ||
isreachedandthehighvoltageisswitchedon,the |
