When the tape is stopped, press this button to open the cassette tape compartment.
17 Reverse/Forward play (H/U)
Press these buttons to start playback of the back/front side of a tape.
Press during tape playback/recording standby to restart playback/recording.
18 DOLBY NR switch
Use this switch to turn Dolby noise reduction on and off (pages 9 and 25).
19 PITCH CONTROL knob
Turn this knob to vary the playback speed (page 26).
20 REV (Reverse) MODE switch
Use this switch to select the reverse mode (page 24).
21 Pause (+)
Press this button to pause CD playback. To resume playback, press this button again.
22 FOLDER (/)
Use these buttons to select folders (pages 19 and 28).
23POWER ON START
Use this switch to select the timer setting (play, record or off). To use this when set to play or record, connect a commercially- available audio timer to this unit (page 35).
24 Play (U)
Press this button to start CD playback.
25 Stop ())
Press this button to stop CD playback.
26 Skip (/)/Search (N/)
Press these buttons to skip through files.
Hold down these buttons to search for part of a file.
