Note! You should only activate the geo-positioning function if your DiSEqC motor supports this function.

>As described above, call up the menu for setting the motorised antenna.

>Use the arrow keys to mark the field Geo.Pos.

>Confirm by pressing OK. A menu will b e displayed, allowing you to enter your location. (Fig. 9-9)

>Use the OK key to select On or Off for the geo- positioning function.

>Use the arrow keys to select the field for entering the geographical longitude.

>Use the numeric keys to enter the geographical longitude.

>Now press the arrow key left.

>In this field, use the OK key to indicate whether you are referring to longitude East (East) or west (W).

>Now use the arrow keys to mark the field for entering the geographical latitude.

>Use the numeric keys to enter the geographical latitude.

>Now press the arrow key left.

>In this field, use the OK key to indicate whether you are referring to latitude North (N) or South (S).

>Use the Back key to return to the LNC settings.

The data relating to your location must be entered as a decimal figure, correct to one decimal point. As the co- ordinates are frequently stated in terms of degrees, minutes and seconds, these must be converted to decimal values as follows:

The full degree figures remain unchanged by the calculation. The minutes are divided by 60, and rounded to one decimal point. The result of this division is added to the degree figure. The seconds are not considered at all, as they do not affect

the first decimal point.
Example: co-ordinates of Daun/Germany
Latitude			50°	11‘	(45“)	N
Longitude			06°	50‘	(10‘‘)	E
Conversion of the latitude (Lat):
Lat	=	50	+	11/60
Lat	=	50	+	0,2	(rounded)
Lat	=	50,2

In the menu you will enter the value, rounded to one decimal point, for geographical latitude (50,2).

The decimal value for the longitude will be calculated in the same way.
