F. Conference Calls Using All Available Links
If a call is in progress, a conference member can be
added using the same or another communication link.
Place the call on hold by pressing “+”(Put Call on
Hold). Press “6”to rotate through the available links
(Satcom, GndCell or Air-Gnd). Press “1”(Voice).
Dial the telephone number. After the called party
answers, press “+”(Add Call to Conference).
NOTE: To switch to a TDD call you may press “5” whether or
not it is displayed.
G. Speed Dialing
User-stored speed dial numbers apply to whatever link is currently
selected; Speed Dial numbers only apply to the Air-Ground link.
H. SATCOM System Management Commands
The user can send these commands to configure a Satellite Data Unit
(SDU) by selecting a SATCOM Voice call from the Main menu and
then entering the dialed digits (which always start with “**”for
Honeywell SATCOM commands or “*”for Collins SATCOM com-
mands).
NOTE 1: Use the “6” key to select the SATCOM link, and then press “1” (Voice)
followed by the command.
NOTE 2: When the system is configured for GroundCell and /or Digital
SATCOM,the dialed digits for these commands are sent to the SDU
via AIU channel #1.
I. Short SATCOM Telephone Numbers
The user can dial a short (2-6 digits, not starting with a “0”) SATCOM
telephone number by selecting a SATCOM call from the Main menu
and then entering the dialed digits.
