B20. 9600 bps/4800 bps Modem Data Calls
Software version 4.0A (or later) allows for two simultaneous single
channel 4800 bps Air-Ground modem calls,or a single dual channel
9600 bps Air-Ground modem call.
To set up the station default modem call baud rate,start a Maintenance
Session. Press “+”(More) and then “5”(Modem). Press “1”(4800
bps) or “2”(9600 bps) for desired setting.
B21. Modem Data Call Handoffs
(This is a System Function)
Software version 4.0A (or later) allows for 9600 bps/4800 bps data
call handoffs.
To enable data call handoffs,start a Maintenance Session, press “+”
(More) and then “5”(Modem). Press “3”to enable 4800 bps and/or
“4”to enable 9600 bps.
B22. Receiving Calls via a CDBR-2 PCStation
(This is a System Function)
Software version 4.0B (or later) allows for a CDBR-2 PC station to
receive uplink Ground-Air calls. The CDBR-2 station must be strapped
for PC and can be configured to receive Voice,Fax or TDD calls from
the ground through Remote Programming.
To configure,start a Remote Programming Maintenance Session
(Section VI, B18), press “+”(More) and then press “1”(Station Setup)
to view station settings. Uplink calls can be then configured by choos-
ing ���3”for Voice,“4”for Fax (Factory Default), or “5”for TDD.
NOTE: For calls originating in the aircraft, the following dialing prefixes are valid
for a CDBR-2 PC station:“1” (Voice), “2” (Inplane), “3” (Fax), “4”
(Modem),“5” (TDD), and “*” (Speed Dial).
