STEP 3: UNPACKING, MOVING AND PLACING THE RANGE

Due to the weight, a dolly with soft wheels should be used to move this unit. The weight must be supported uniformly across the bottom (See Fig. 7).

After transporting the professional range by dolly close to its final location, the range can be tipped back and supported on the rear legs while the dolly is carefully removed. THE FLOOR UNDER THE LEGS SHOULD BE PRO TECTED (WOOD STRIPS, CAR PET, PANELING, ETC.) BEFORE PUSHING THE UNIT INTO POSI TION. The anti-tip device (30" and 36" ranges) must be installed (STEP 4). gas and electric connections should be made (STEPS 5 and 6). and the backguard installed (STEP

7)before the range is placed in its final position.

For proper performance the profes sional range must be level. The range is leveled by adjusting the legs with a wrench. Replace the kick panel and oven doors by reversing the procedure described above. It is important that the two (2) screws retaining the kick panel are secure to prevent accidental access to live electri cal components and wires.

Griddle Level Adjustments

The griddle should be level or tilted slightly forward and should not rock. Screws are installed in the back ledge to eliminate rocking and to adjust the level of the griddle. To access these screws (A) (see Fig. 8), carefully remove the black aluminum trim strips running front to back alongside the griddle, then lift the back of the griddle.
