OPERATION

For safe and efficient boom mower operation, it is critical that the operator be experienced and feel confident in using the control valve sticks to position the boom. New operator’s should allow ample time to practice using the control valve sticks in an open area before entering the worksite. Before attempting to operate this equipment, read these instructions completely. If you have any questions concerning safety of operation, contact your dealer or Rhino.

This valve is located on the Main Frame of the unit. These are fastened together in a bank of five valves. Their use will be explained in the following pages of this manual. Read each explanation carefully then practice in a safe, level area, CLEAR of all people, animals, and any obstructions. As always, use extreme caution when using this machine. This valve is controlled by operating the Remote Control Valve Box mounted to the right of the operator at a convenient height.

NOTE: The stamped metal plate located above the control valve indicates each valve function.

Practice performing multiple functions simultaneously. With some practice, the control valve sticks will become very easy to operate and will feel almost as it were an extension of your arm.

With the exception of the relief valves, which are preset at the factory, these are all the controls for operating the machine other than the controls on the tractor itself.
