Poached Pears

Serves 4

2 pears, peeled, cored and cut in half lengthwise

13 cup white wine

13 cup port

14 cup Splenda® brown sugar blend for baking

2 cinnamon sticks

2 peppercorns

12 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1.Mix all ingredients together and place in the Cooking Bowl which fits in the Large Steamer Bowl.

2.Steam for about 20 to 30 minutes until pears are softened. Turn pears 12 way through cooking time.

3.Refrigerate overnight before using.
