Keyboard and display features

3Adjust the display panel to a comfortable viewing angle.

CAUTION: To avoid damaging the display panel, be careful

when opening and closing it. Never force the panel beyond

the point where it moves easily, and never use it to lift the

computer.

Power button —The power button is used to turn on power to the

computer. For more information, see “Different ways to turn the

computer on and off” on page98.

Screen—The computer’s screen is a liquid crystal display (LCD)

that provides clear, sharp images.

Keyboard—The 85-key keyboard provides all the functionality

of a full-size keyboard. It has several built-in hot-key functions that

Display problems The display is blank. The screen does not look right. The built-in screen flickers. Disk drive problems You are having trouble accessing a disk, or one or more files appear to be missing. Error-checking Your hard disk seems very slow. Your data files are damaged or corrupted. Some programs run correctly but others do not. A diskette will not go into the external diskette drive. The computer displays the Non-system disk or disk error message. The drive cannot read a diskette. DVD-ROM or Multifunction drive problems You cannot access a disc in the drive. You press the disc eject button, but the drive tray does not slide out. Some discs run correctly, but others do not. WinDVD problems: general issues WinDVD controls are disabled. Playback performance is poor. The Root or Title menu does not open. WinDVD performance decreases after making a system change. Slow playback performance. WinDVD problems: content issues WinDVD will not function properly with debug software installed.
