3Select the Supervisor Password icon.
4Click Registered.
5Type your password in the Supervisor Password box.
6Retype your password in the Supervisor Password
again box.
7Click OK.

Deleting a supervisor password

To cancel the power-on password function:
1Click Start, All Programs, Tosh ib a, Utilities, then click
Toshiba Assist.
The TOSHIBA Assist window appears.
2On the left side, select Secure.
3Select the Supervisor Password icon.
4Select Not Registered.
5Type the correct password.
6Click OK.
Setting user passwords
Setting a password leaves your computer secure so that
nobody can access your files. You must enter the password
before you can work on your computer.
Toshiba supports several types of passwords on your
computer:
An instant password — Secures your open programs and
files when leaving the computer temporarily.
A power-on password — Prevents unauthorized users
from starting or restarting the computer.
A supervisor password — Prohibits unauthorized users
from accessing certain functions such as Toshiba
