Setting up the MMS account

If your Toshiba phone has not been preconfigured, you will need to manually enter the details of the MMS account. This is a two-stage process: in the first stage you must set up the data connection, and in the second stage you must define the address of the MMS server on the Internet.

Setting up a data connection

You will need the name of the MMS APN and any associated username or password. To avoid conflicts with other applications, select the Secure WAP Network setting when setting up the Connect via description.

Defining the server

1.From the Home screen, select Start > Messaging.

2.Highlight the MMS entry, and select Menu > Settings.

3.Select Menu > MMSC Settings, and on the following page select Menu > New.

4.Enter a name for the server details in the Name field.

Enter the following details:

MMSC URL - enter the address of the server, as supplied by your Service Provider.

WAP gateway - enter the WAP gateway to be used for this connection, as supplied by your Service Provider.

Port - enter the port number.

Connect via - point the MMS server towards the correct connection point. If you set up the MMS using the Secure WAP network setting, you must select the Secure WAP network setting here.

Max. sending size - please contact your Service Provider to obtain this value.

5.Select Done.

6.Select your MMS entry and select Menu > Set as Default. A tick is displayed next to your chosen MMS entry.

7.Press the Home key to return to the Home screen. Your Toshiba phone is now configured for MMS.
