Battery Memory Effect

Rechargeablebatteries can develop a “memory effect” (reduced charge
capacity)caused by repeated charge and discharge cycles. The battery life
willseem to be shorter every time you use the unit.

Atleast once a month, operate the unit until the “Battery Low” indicator
appears. Then, charge the unit as described. Avoid“topping off” the charge
afterusing the phone for a short time. Also, do not charge the Rechargeable
Batteryfor extended periods of time.

Cleaning the Battery Contacts

Tomaintain a good charge, it is
importantto clean all charging contacts
onthe Handset and Base Unit about
oncea month. Use a pencil eraser or
othercontact cleaner. Do not use any
liquidsor solvents.
