Glossary

Punch Through Advanced feature that Channel or Transport while in another mode.

enables you to operate Volume, Control functions of one device

Example: Audio Volume Control “Punch Through” gives you the ability to raise, lower and mute your Audio receiver volume while operating the remote control in the TV mode.

Set-Up Code Number

The three-digit number that is used to program the remote control for your particular manufacturer or brand of audio/ video equipment. Set-Up Code numbers are located in tables in the appendix on pages 33 - 50 of the instruction manual. Set-Up Code numbers are categorized by type of device, e.g. TV, VCR, Audio, CD, DVD, Cable, AUX and Satellite.

More than one Set-Up Code number may work with your device. You should test the functions for each of the Set-Up Code numbers that work with your device to determine the best Set-Up Code number for your particular device.

Note: Some devices, such as CD players and DVD Decks that do not have POWER buttons on their original remote controls, may not shut off during programming. For these devices, it may be necessary to first store the Set-Up Code number and then test functions like PLAY, STOP, etc., to determine if the correct Set- Up Code number has been selected.

Transport Control

Buttons that correspond to the PLAY, STOP, REWIND, FAST FORWARD, PAUSE, SEARCH/SKIP and RECORD functions on your audio/video equipment.
