Neverstand with your head directly over the Grill when preparing to light the side burner, to

Observethe flame patter n. Soft blue flames are normal ; hard blue flames or wavy yellow flames are
not.You can adjust the flame with the air shutter below the control knob (see Fig 19). If yellow f lames persist,
referto the Troubleshooting Guide on Page22.

Turnthe side burner control knob to HIGH (see Fig. 13).
Turnthe Igniter Knob clockwise until the burner ignites. The burner should light within four clicks of the
igniter.NOTE: Some models are equipped with an electronic ignter. Refer to page 6 for respective piezo
andelectronic igniter systems.
Turnthe control knob counterclockwise to the HIGH position, then depress it and turn it to OFF.NEVER
forcethe knob without depressing it, as that can damage the valve.
