Telephone operation
Transfer/share a call using intercom
When the handset is on a call, press MENU/SELEC T twice to choose
>Intercom. The outside call is put on hold automatic ally.
If you have two handsets, your handset displays Calling other handse t.
If you have one handset and one headset, your handset displays
Calling headset.
If you have two or more handsets and a headset, INTERCOM TO:
displays. Use the dialing keys to enter the destination handset number or
press # (pound key) for the destination headset. Your handset displays
Calling handset X or Calling headset.
The destination handset or headset earpiece rings and th e handset
displays Other handset is calling or handse t X is calling.
To answer the intercom call:
Press /FLASh, or any of the dialing keys (0-9, #, TONE ) on the
destination handset. Both handsets display Interco m.
Press on the headset. The originating handset displays Interc om.
You can now have a private conversation between the handsets, or the
handset and the headset.

If you want to cancel an intercom call and reco nnect to the outside call
before the destination handset answers, pre ss /FLASh or OFF/CLEAR on
the originating handset.
If the destination handset or headset does n ot answer the intercom call
within 100 seconds, is in the director y or call log, or is out of range, the
originating handset displays
Unable to call. Try again and reconnec ts to
the outside call automatically.

Answer an incoming call during an intercom call
When you receive an incoming outside call during an intercom call, there is an
alert tone.
To answer the call, press /FLASh on the handset or press and hold
MUTE/FLASh for two seconds on the headset. The intercom call ends
automatically.
To end the intercom call without answering the incoming call, press
OFF/CLEAR on the handset or press on the headset. The telephone
continues to ring.
