Security Levels
The four levels of firewall security are described in the table below.

Level | Description |
High* | Blocks all outgoing traffic except HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, POP3, SMTP and DNS. |
Medium* | Default setting. |
Low | Allows all outgoing traffic. |
Custom | Allows users to customize settings. |

Setting the Security Level
To change security level, click the option button for the level, then click the Save button at the bottom of this window. (You may have to scroll down.)
Custom Settings
Custom security functions are available on the Advanced Access screen. Users electing the Custom security option must follow this procedure:
1.Select the Custom option on the gray Firewall Security screen. The following message appears:

2.Click Save. Wait for the WebShare to restart. (See “Restarting WebShare” on page 19.)
3.Click the Advanced Access link (blue tab) to proceed to the custom settings. The Advanced Access functions are described later in this document.
Saving Changes
All changes to Security level, adding and deleting services and lists must be saved before they take effect. To save changes, click the Save button at the bottom of the screen. (You may have to scroll down for it.)
CAUTION
If you turn the modem off while a restart is in progress, changes will be lost. You do not need to turn the modem or your PC off and on.
