To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, or personal injury when using your air conditioner, follow these basic precautions:
l Read all instructions before using your air conditioner.
l Complete the installation instructions as described in this manual.
. Never allow children to operate or play with the air conditioner.
. DO NOT operate the air conditioner with the front panel removed.
. Never clean air conditioner parts with flammable fluids The fumes can create a fire hazard or explosion.
l FOR YOUR SAFETY l
DO NOT STORE OR USE GASOLINE OR OTHER FLAMMABLE VAPORS AND LIQUIDS IN THE VICINITY OF THIS OR ANY OTHER APPLIANCE. THE FUMES CAN CREATE A FIRE HAZARD OR EXPLOSION.
It is your responsibility to be sure your air conditioner:
lis installed in a window or wall that will support the weight of the unit.
l is installed and secured according to the installation instruc- tions described in this manual.
lis connected only to the proper kind of outlet, with the correct electrical supply and grounding. (See “Electrical Require- ments” on page 8.)
lis the proper size for the area you want to cool. l is used only for the job it IS designed to do.
l is not used by anyone unable to operate it properly. l is properly maintained.
Also, remove the Energy Label and Buy Guide. Use a damp cloth to take off any glue residue. Do not use sharp instru- ments, flammable fluids, or abrasive cleaners. These can damage the material.

Para reducir el riesgo de incendio, choque electrico o

Es su responsabilidad asegurarse que
su acondicionador de aire:
l esta instalado en una ventana o pared que soportara el peso del artefacto.
l esta instalado y asegurado de acuerdo a las instrucciones de instalacion descritas en este manual.
l esta conectado solamente al tipo de tomacorriente adecuado, con el suministro de energia electrica y puesta a tierra correctos (ver “Requerimientos Electricos” en la pagina 8).
l es del tamario adecuado para el espacio que desea enfriar.
lse usa solamente para el fin que fue diseriado.
l no sea usado por alguien que no este capacitado para hacerlo funcionar en forma debida.
l recibe mantenimiento apropiado.
Ademas debe quitar la Etiqueta de Energia y de la Guia de Compra. Use un pano humedo para sacar cualquier resto de goma. No use instrumentos afilados, liquidos inflamables o detergentes abrasivos. Estos pueden danar el material.
