Leave the battery out of the thermostat for at least two minutes, to allow the thermostat to reset itself. DO NOT MOVE OPTION SWITCHES #1 OR #2, as this may affect thermostat operation. In the AUTO mode, the thermostat will not allow the temperature separation between the highest heat setting and the lowest cool setting to be less than 1°F. For example, if the highest heat setting is 75°F, the lowest cool setting cannot be below 77°F (see diagram below).
