Computer Communications with the PV225S

The PV225S provides multiple options for communicating s ystem status or data

logging through a personal computer using the Xantrex Solar Graphic User

Interface (GUI) software.

The Xantrex Solar Graphic User Interface (GUI) so ftware is a Windows™-based

program that:

• displays system status,

• accesses inverter controls,

• accesses metering and data logging ca pabilities, and

• controls protective functions.

If multiple inverters are networked together, the software is capable of tracking up

to 50 inverters on the same network.

Determine which method will be used to comm unicate with the PV225S and

ensure the appropriate hardware is in place before pro ceeding with installing the

GUI. See the “PC Connection Methods” section of t he PV225S 225 kW Grid-tied

Photovoltaic Inverter Planning and Installat ion Manual for instructions on

establishing the desired connection if this has not alre ady been done.
