Selecting a Viewing Angle DVD

You can select the desired viewing angle during DVD playback.

Note

This selection is available only with multi-angle compatible discs. Also, viewing angles available for each disc may vary. For information on your disc, refer to the operating instructions in the disc’s menu or on its jacket.

While playing back a disc, hold down SHIFT and press ANGLE repeatedly until the desired viewing angle is selected.

Operating the Disc Menu

Many DVD and VCD (SVCD) include original navigational menus called “DVD menu” and “Playback Control menu”. These menus provide a convenient way to operate the disc. Follow the procedure below to use a DVD menu or Playback Control menu with this unit.

To operate the DVD menu DVD

1Press MENU to display the DVD menu on the TV.

Depending on the disc, the DVD menu may automatically appear after the disc is loaded.

2Press , , or to select a menu item, then press ENTER to confirm the

selection.

To operate the Playback Control

menu VCD

If you play back a VCD or SVCD that includes the Playback Control feature, the menu automatically appears on the TV. To operate the Playback Control menu with this unit’s remote control, use the following buttons.

Number buttons: Selects an item. : Moves to the next screen.

or RETURN: Returns to the previous screen. ENTER: Confirms the selected item.

MENU: Displays or closes the Playback Control menu.

If you set “PBC” in the Setup menu to “OFF” (page 23), the Playback Control menu is not displayed automatically when playing back a disc.
