Creating the Best Listening Space
Adjusting the Speaker Volume Level
The default settings of the Speakers are suitable for most conditions. However, depending on room conditions or listening position, you may need to adjust the Speaker volume level, especially when changing speaker or furniture position.
This adjustment is important because it brings out the maximum effect of the DSP Program, and faithfully reproduces the acoustic personalities of Dolby Pro Logic, Dolby Pro Logic II, Dolby Digital and DTS.
Even after performing the test tone, you may still like to adjust the speaker volume level for some sources. In this case see page 61,
“Adjusting the Speaker Volume Level During Playback”.
Note
•You cannot adjust the volume level while connected to headphones. To adjust, disconnect your headphones.
Adjusting the Speaker Balance with a Test Tone
Adjust the volume so that it is the same for each speaker from your listening position.
