Emergency Starting Engine
1) Remove the top cowling.

2) Remove the cable 1 by pulling out it from the starter if equipped.

4)Remove the starter/ flywheel cover after removing 3 bolts.
Disconnect the wire leads connected the starter/ flywheel cover.
5)Prepare the engine for starting. See “STARTING ENGINE” for procedures. Be sure the engine is in Neutral and that the lanyard lock plate is attached to the engine stop lanyard switch.
6)Pull up the lever 3 on the carburetor to operate the choke system when the engine is cold.
After the engine starts, return the lever to the original position.
