NoteThe XM Satellite Radio controlling functions in the following buttons (SEARCH MODE, CATEGORY, PRESET/TUNING/CH l/ h, MEMORY, and DISPLAY) are only applicable to the U.S.A. model and are operational only when “XM” is selected as the input source. For details, see “XM Satellite Radio controls and functions” on page 53.

•In the standby mode, this unit consumes a small amount of power in order to receive infrared signals from the remote control.
•When you turn on this unit, there will be a 4 to

4PRESET/TUNING, EDIT•Switches the function of PRESET/TUNING/CH l/ hbetween selecting preset station numbers and selecting the tuning frequency.
•Edits the assignments of preset stations (see page 50).
Switches the reception band between FM and AM when “TUNER” is selected as the input source (see page 45).
6A/B/C/D/E, NEXT•Selects one of the 5 preset station groups (A to E) when “TUNER” is selected as the input source (see page 45).
•Selects the speaker channel whose output level you want to adjust when “TUNER” is not selected as the input source (see page 35).
7PRESET/TUNING/CH l / h, LEVEL +/–•Selects one of the 8 preset station numbers (1 to 8) when “TUNER” is selected as the input source. The colon (:) is displayed in the front panel display (see page 45).
•Selects the tuning frequency when “TUNER” is selected as the input source. The colon (:) is not displayed in the front panel display (see page 45).
•Adjusts the level of the speaker channel selected using NEXT when “TUNER” is not selected as the input source (see page 35).
