4Begin recording on the tape deck (or MD recorder etc.) or VCR connected to this unit.

5To monitor the sound (and/or picture) to be recorded, select the tape deck (or VCR) being used for recording with the INPUT selector.

SLEEP TIMER

The SLEEP timer can be used to automatically set this unit in the standby mode. This timer is useful when you are going to sleep while enjoying a broadcast or other desired input source. The SLEEP timer can only be set with the remote control.

Setting the SLEEP Timer

1Play a source you want to enjoy when you are going to sleep.

2Press the SLEEP key to set the sleep timer (60 minutes). The “SLEEP” indicator soon lights up on the display.

Press the SLEEP key again to cancel the sleep timer. The “SLEEP” indicator goes off from the display.

Notes

If you want to enjoy another source while recording, select it with the INPUT selector.

VOLUME, BASS, TREBLE, BALANCE, LOUDNESS controls, CD DIRECT AMP switch and PURE DIRECT switch settings have no effect on the material being recorded.
