1. FITTING STOVES

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. FITTING STOVES

Most stoves are heavy and do not require anchoring to the hearth or floor, but in certain circumstances the appliance can become unstable e.g. when leaning on the stove. If this is likely, secure the appliance to the hearth or floor with suitably strong fixings.

FOR MARLBOROUGH, MANHATTAN, STOCKTON & STOCKTON 5:

1.1Position the stove ensuring all appropriate clearances are observed.

1.2Mark the position of the holes in the fixing brackets attached to the inside of the rear legs.

1.3Remove the stove and drill holes using an appropriate drill.

1.4Push rawl plugs into the holes and insert the wood screws until the head is approximately 3mm proud of the hearth.

1.5Place the stove in position over the brackets so that the screw heads locate in the large part of the slot.

1.6Push the stove back so that the screw heads engage fully into the narrow part of the slot.

1.7Tighten the screws if desired.

2. FAULT FINDING

No illumination of the loose fuels or uneven lighting:

2.1Check the heater is working. If YES, one or more of the LED boards will need replacing. This must be undertaken by a suitably qualified person (see Servicing Requirements).

2.2If NO, first change the 13amp fuse for one known to work. If the fire still does not work, check the socket by plugging in a working appliance. If this too fails to operate, call in a competent electrician to check the socket.

Illumination but no heat:

2.3The safety cut-out has operated to protect against overheating (see User Instructions, Section 2.6). Ensure the air inlet and outlet grilles are free of dust or any other obstruction.

Remote control fails to work:

2.4Check that the batteries are new and correctly fitted. Replace if necessary.

2.5Ensure that the handset is pointed at the window of the fire.

3. HOW TO WIRE a plug

If you need to change the plug supplied with this fire, follow the instructions below. The instructions assume that the wire has been cut.
